Leading any team is a challenge. Making sure everyone is content and able to perform at their best requires emotional and social intelligence and an understanding of personal differences comes when combining theory with practice.
Leading a team of engineers can present a new level of challenge as they are often introverted and may be very subtle in their communication about how they feel.
Leading a distributed team can add another layer of complexity on top, as cultural differences can make things even harder.
In this session, we will dive into a bit of psychology and cultural norms, and we will explore how humor and memes (if you are not familiar with the word, google it) can help retrospectives become an effective communication tool.
*This event will be facilitated in English.

Instructor
Kristian Dupont has been developing software using lean and agile methodologies for more than 15 years. He has been consulting as a developer and a teacher/trainer for large companies but has a special love for startups where agility is a matter of life and death for the company and not just an admirable but perhaps slightly utopian goal. Kristian has solid experience with the technical and practical aspects of DevOps, continuous integration and deployment.
