How to set results-based goals with OKRs
Organisations of any kind can benefit from focusing on what matters most. Yet most companies struggle to stay focused and waste precious recourses on poor alignment and lack of accountability.
Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) is a method developed at Intel. It has helped companies like Google achieve unthinkable results right from the early garage days.
Today OKRs are becoming increasingly popular because they promote transparency and self-leadership making them perfect for the complex business environment of the 21st century. This is also why OKRs will become part of the upcoming SAFe 5.0 agile framework.
But you don’t have to be a large or agile organisation to benefit. Individuals and teams can also apply OKRs to help them focus on what matters most.
In this mini workshop, we introduce the concept of OKRs and how to get started.
You will learn what OKRs are and the do’s and don’ts helping you succeed in the early days of implementation. We will also
- Share a case from a Digital Lab at a large corporate taking lead in implementing OKRs
- Give you a chance to practice setting you own OKRs, which is much more difficult than it might seem, and
- Give you insights and exercises into how you deal effectively with the leadership and culture element of OKRs
Who is it for?
OKRs are for anyone. You don’t have to be a leader who can implement OKRs to get something out of this workshop. OKRs can be used by individuals too.
Yet, if you are a leader, this workshop is a chance to take a comfortable position as the proactive driver in the driver seat for 2020.
